During the canalization era, fertilizers were imported on FOB basis and shipping was arranged by Transchart. Ever since decanalisation of fertilizers during 1992 – 93, Indian receivers were not in a position to organize shipping for transportation of fertilizers and raw materials.Therefore, Tradex has embarked upon SHIPPING for bulk fertilizers shipped from Aqaba, Jordan as per the requirements of individual customers. Presently, Tradex is chartering vessels for about 3.5 million tons of cargo per annum in vessels of various capacities ranging from 7,000 tons to 65,000 tons.
The group has representatives at all loading and discharging ports to protect the interests of the principals, vessel owners and receivers.
